St.George’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Parish at Vikaspuri is a young and vibrant community, full of vitality and enthusiasm. It came into existence in 2002 AD and started its worship services in a temporary accommodation. Owing to space constraints, after many discussions and deliberations we acquired a plot of land admeasuring 2814 sq.ft.  in the western outskirts of Delhi in December 2004 under the able leadership of the Vicar Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe.

His Beatitude Dr. Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I, the Catholicos of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church laid the foundation stone on 29th of Sep. 2005.The construction work of the new church building started on 5th Nov. 2005. Within a short span of 2 years, we could complete the first two floors of the proposed 5 storied church building, first floor as Church. The Holy Consecration of the newly built church at Nilothi Extn. was done by H.B. Thomas I Catholicos on 3rd May 2008.
